I’m the founder of Spice Creative, a marketing agency for brands in sex tech, wellness and relationships. I started Spice because I saw a real gap in the market. More and more brands in the intimacy space were reaching out to me, not just for help with copy or strategy, but for the kind of insight that comes from years of writing about sex, relationships and queerness.

Before launching the agency, I worked as a sex journalist and author, with bylines in places like Dazed, Cosmopolitan, Refinery29, Vice and more. At the same time, I was building a career in marketing and brand strategy. I didn’t expect those two worlds to overlap as much as they did, but it started to happen a lot. Brands were coming to me because they wanted marketing that could actually hold space for intimacy, identity and lived experience.

I also found that the work I was doing around digital censorship was giving me answers to problems so many of these brands were dealing with, from shadowbanning to blocked ads. I realised that this space didn’t just need marketers. It needed people who really understood how sex is talked about and regulated online, and how to work around that without losing meaning or connection.

So I built the agency I wish existed earlier. At Spice, we’re a team of creatives who are just as comfortable talking about performance metrics as we are about pleasure, desire and identity. We make smart, thoughtful marketing that actually gets it.

Because if you’re going to market sex and relationships, it shouldn’t feel like a sanitised version of something real. It should feel honest, confident and human.
